Fire Safety for the Birds!

Our county fire code is very strict. Every dwelling over two floors must have a fire escape plan. Our Robins built this nest in our grandchildren's fort, complete with fire escape ladder.

Just a little note of Thanks

A little note of thanks. When you need a little something to show that special someone you appreciate what they have done for you and/or given you.

The computer is a wonderful tool. It has allowed us to do so much. However, it has taken away from us the lovely feeling we get when we receive a piece of mail. I know how I feel when I receive a card or letter that has my name and address hand written on it.

Wow! I am so excited, I can't wait to get in the house to open the mail. I have to open it before I leave the mail box! It doesn't even have to be my birthday.

Don't get me wrong email is awesome, but there is still something special about a letter in the mail box. ( no I do not get paid by the USPS)

I never thought I would ever blog until tonight.

This is really just the beginning.

My family means the world to me and I am especially close to my sisters. We each share so much in common. We love and laugh together all the time, even though we live in 3 different states.

So everything you may find on my blog and on my website, comes of the love of my God, my husband, my sisters and we even have Mom involved.

I love my brothers too! My dad, I dedicate this blog and I will see him in heaven one day, in the meantime he will be in my thoughts, prayers and heart forever.

Sky Opening, BVP119

You will see I love the sky. The clouds puts us one step closer to GOD. There was only one verse that could be used for this photo. John 14:6 Jesus said to him, " I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. I gave my first print of this photo to a special friend, Fr. Alister. He is an old fashioned man, who corresponds by writing letters ( no computer). He wrote me a lovely note on how much he liked this photo and added a post script (P.S. to those who don't write letters) Fr. Alister added, "Looking at the picture again- I am so impressed with it - clouds of mankind but higher than the clouds the light and presence of God the Father who comes in our flesh to lead us to his eternal presence and new life with Him"
